K4J Send It Home
Parents as Partners!
This kid-friendly, hands-on learning is called the
"K4J method."
K4J Send-It-Home materials motivate kids to live a new virtue each month through a practice called the "Mission of the Month." Each new "Mission of the Month" uses materials that are designed to connect with and positively develop the child's culture (National Directory for Catechesis, US Catholic Bishops). This sparks the child's interest and helps kids self-motivate and engage in the effective virtue learning process. A manipulative Mission "toy" plus progress markers and imaginative theme help kids practice virtue all month long!
Each of the three age levels, pre-K4J (preK3-K); K4J (grades 1-2); and Apostles (grades 3-4) receive their own Send-It-Home pack each month. Each pack contains age-level materials that help the child practice the monthly virtue through the "Mission of the Month". Kids develop well-rounded Catholic character when they practice virtues that helps them develop social skills, form their consciences to make moral decisions, and deepen their relationship with Jesus as well as love and serve their neighbor.

The club motivates the kids to continue in their Mission of the Month and work on teams to serve the parish and community. The club meeting features 4 main stations; Get Moving, Cool Craft, Saints and Scripture, Missionaries in Motion. There is also a chance for Snack (K4J style of course) and Apostles in Action for 3rd and 4th graders. The fun never ends in K4J!
